8 Wainwrights on this walk with some fantastic views, usually!! Not this time around though, started off pretty well, cold but clear and bright, but then the cloud descended and the winds picked up giving me pretty much zero visibility for much of the route. I'll definitely have to do this one again when the weather picks up a bit, maybe that one day of the year we call summer...

So tranquil. I really do wish I lived closer to some hills! Though i'll also take the warm weather of living down south!

Nice vid though, looks a beautiful winters day.

Thanks kevvers, I work in London week on week off so I know exactly what you mean about the difference in the weather, a huge difference sometimes!
It was still a good days walking though, despite the lack of views at the top due to the hideous conditions. This is a cracking walk in the summer and one I'd definitely recommend if you're ever up North.

Another great video, Mark. Can I also say top marks on your choices of music :)

And I'm the same as Kev, I wish I lived closer to some bigger hills, though I should be grateful I'm up in Yorkshire rather than the South coast as that puts me about 5 hours closer to most of the mountains.

Mark, you said you work in London, but where are you based when you're at home? I reckon we should get a mini meet-up sorted as soon as possible! Danny's off to Snowdon in a couple of weeks. If we can't make it then, then another time for sure!

And Kev, make your baby grow faster so you're allowed to head into the hills for a couple of days again!!

Haha thanks Dave, I've had a few problems with music on my videos lately. YouTube keeps blocking them on certain platforms if I use copyrighted music, which is fair enough I guess. On the Grasmoor one I used royalty free music to get around it but it doesn't have the same feel to it.
I live in County Durham when I'm not working so I'm not really that far away from you. Depending on which side of the Lake District I want to get to I can get there in about an hour and a half, 2 hours if I want to get to Grasmere or somewhere in that area. I'm definitely up for a meet with a few of the guys off here if we can get our heads together and sort it out. Snowdon sounds good if I'm not working, although I'm heading up to the Cairngorms in March as well to see my family for a week or so and get some big hills done.

I hear you with the music issues. That's why for the last 3 years or so I haven't used music on my videos. I think that from about Canadian Catch Out onwards I stopped bothering with music because YouTube was so unpredictable with whether or not it would remove the soundtrack (sometimes it would remove it and then allow it again without warning, and vice versa). It's easier to just go without the music or to use royalty free or lesser-known music which isn't owned by the big recording companies and is therefore not on YouTube's list of copyrighted tracks. It's not much of an issue for me because my videos are mainly me babbling on and on at the camera so music is less important.

Cool, I didn't realise you were as close as Durham! Northerners represent!
