Took a last minute drive to Ogwen today as the weather was so decent. First time for me! Definitely not the last either! Only had a few hours before sunset so kept it short. Took a short walk around cwm idwal. Hoping to go back sometime this weekend and attempt tryfan. Has anybody got any advice on walking tryfan? Whats the average time to get up and down? and how would you rate the difficulty?
Tryfan's great but you need to give it a big chunk of a day to do it properly. It takes longer than you'd think and also you don't want to rush it.
And you don't walk it, you climb it :P The North Ridge is just one big scramble up an enormous pile of massive boulders.
And you have to jump between Adam and Eve.
