Recently I just happened to stumble across a link toward a possible 4K action camera
www.gearbest.com/act... ...65287.html
If you get there in time, you might be able to slip an order in.
Overall, let's see if we can find any alternate action cameras in case we can't afford a 4K GoPro. So far, I still have a nifty Kodak Playsport zx5.

I'm not entirely sure I trust the craftsmanship of a $60 camera shipped from China.
GoPro is expensive but not ridiculously expensive. I've had my GoPro2 for probably over 4 years now and it's been through the wars and is still doing a good job (except the odd occasion when it doesn't record sound). Well worth the £300 I paid for it.
I'll almost certainly buy the GoPro4 when I've gathered some money together.

I use an iSaw. Excellent bit of kit under £200.

I'd never heard of that brand, Penny! Based on the name I was half expecting something that looked awful :P
I'm also surprised Apple hasn't patented the letter "i" being the first letter on a word.
Maybe I should shop around a bit, or at least have a camera like an iSaw as a secondary, backup camera. There's so many choices out there now!

It's surprisingly good and fits on all of the GoPro mounts. A guy called Gary Fisher (see his YouTube channel) records his walks on an iSaw, they're brilliant quality and you can take excellent stills from the footage too. My channel (Penny Wood) has a couple of videos (Cnicht and the latest Snowdon trips) using the iSaw, using it for some stills as well as film and the little Canon camera I take with us.
