Hi Dave, after watching quite a lot ( all.... stalker ) of your videos I have noticed you never take the standard Pyg up to Crib Goch but go up the " north ridge " having only done Crib Goch the once, i like the look of your way as you can park the car where you do and miss the human traffic! Is my red line the correct way and is it also " ok " to come back the same way to the car ?

Hi Dave! Haha, it's really weird because when looking at your photo I just can't get my bearings. That doesn't look like Crib Goch to me! It's not steep enough! Where are you taking the pic from? Can you link to the spot in Google Maps?
Also, I do go up Crib Goch the common way in one of my videos ;)
But yeah, the North ridge is my preferred route by far.

Hi Dave, it's where you park the car in the layby
Come out of penypass do a left go down the hill and park down there
If you are still unsure I will drop a pin there when I am on the PC tomorrow :)

Ah yes, got ya! You're in the wrong layby ;) After leaving Pen-y-pass drive down Llanberis Pass until the 3rd layby (the biggest one, on both sides of the road). That's where I start!

ooooooh, I thought it was the 1st one ! so looking at the 3rd one where is the " path " i can only assume its something like this?

Yes! That's pretty much it! But be warned, if visibility is bad then it's really not obvious which way to go. Plus there's a steep gully to climb if you go the way your red path is marked. An alternative is to go to the right of the big cliff and then left round to the North Ridge.
On a side note, Google Earth is awesome and will never cease to amaze me!
