The weather in Edale (and the rest of the country for that matter) looks amazing tomorrow, so I'm gonna get a train down there and do a spot of wild camping somewhere on Kinder Scout. Anyone else planning to be out that way, or wants to join?

How did it go, Jason? The Peak District is probably my nearest hilly region and they're still 2 damn hours away. Was the camping any good? This heat has been unbearable. I'm not sure how I'd feel hiking in it all day :P The wild camping would be fun though, once things cool down.

It was really good! Amazingly clear, not a cloud in the sky. Working on a little video i made to test out a new action cam. I ended up camping on Grindslow Knoll, and the views were amazing! Below is a picture of me, or rather my boots, and my tent. On distance alone Wales is my closest hilly region, but its a pain on public transport, so the peaks are my closest too (until I buy a car).
The next chance I get I'll be back up that way I think!

Mate, that looks awesome! Can't beat a good orange tint as the sun goes down. I wish I'd had the chance to get out and wild camp in this clear weather we've been having. I'll be getting my fair share in a couple of weeks so hopefully it's still something like you had by then!

It really is! Definitely an under appreciated district of the UK, although that's good as there is no Snowdon style crowds!
