Wright Peak is 1,398 meters high and is one of the 46 "high peaks" in the Adirondack mountain range. It was so windy on top I could hardly stand up, and we almost couldn't summit. If we didn't have micro spikes, we would have been really screwed. I didn't bring my camera, so all I have is this video on my phone.

Great website by the way. I've been watching you ever since the Canadian Catch Out video. I've been looking for a forum like this for a while, so I'm excited to be a part of it.

Welcome to the forums, Ben! I'm happy to have you on here.

And damn, it looks pretty cold up there! How long did it take you to climb up that thing? BY the way, anyone who doesn't know where the Adirondack mountain range is, I googled it and it's in upstate New York :P

Yeah, it was pretty damn cold. It took about five hours to get up and about three to get back down.
I personally wouldn't recommend the Adirondacks to anyone. Most of the mountains are pretty miserable to climb, but I live right outside the state park, so it's my best option right now.

Well I guess any mountain range is going to seem pretty miserable in that sort of weather. Though I wouldn't write-off the Adirondacks completely. There are some pretty appealing photos online of the mountains there!

There are some really nice places here. I guess I'm just sick of it. I've been hiking and canoeing here my whole life, so I'm ready for something different. I've had some great experiences here though.
