Hi all,

My name is Rob. I'm new to this forum so thought I would just say a quick hello as an introduction. I find sites like these are a great resource and hope I can contribute on here as well as tap into others knowledge and experiences also.

Look forward to talking to you all soon.

Rob

Hi Rob! Great to have you around! As you can see the forums are a bit quiet but I plan on putting a lot more effort into them in the near future because I think we could make a pretty cool community on here :)

Hi Dave, thanks for your response. Good luck with growing the forum. I will help spread the word. There are a lot of forums out there for us outdoor folk. Some great, some awful. I find people just need to chill out a little. Yes there is an inherent danger with some of the things we do but the high and bloody mighty out there do like to lecture and talk down to new comers to hill walking and climbing. I have a feeling this site will attract the more laid back types which is why I signed up. Passing on skills and knowledge and inspiring others. That's what's it's all about. Oh, and if we get a few socials out of it and get to meet likeminded people, even better.

Keep up the good work Dave and keep the great YouTube vids coming. If you can't get out yourself the next best thing is to watch others who have a genuine love for the outdoors enjoying themselves.

Haha, yeah I've had plenty of lectures from armchair experts over the years, telling me what I should and shouldn't have done. I've been on enough forums in the past where it's like everyone is trying to outdo everyone else. I'm far too chilled out for that kind of stuff.

And I have every intention to make a load more videos this year!

Hi there all, my name is Dom. Just joined the forum today, I found out about Dave whilst watching his Freight hop across canada and was inspired by him. Planning to do some freigth hopping in the near future
Brave_Dave
Hi, Dom! That's good that I've inspired you to do a bit of adventuring but please don't fall underneath a train because of me :P

Oh and also, cool profile pic! Is that the Lake District?

Hi there Dave, thanks for the reply. Don't worry, I'm always extra careful when doing dangerous illegal stuff:) Nah sorry, it looks a bit like it, but its actually in the Corrour Moor, Scotland. I had a wonderful week there with my dog and my family.
