Tryfan's looming presence in the Ogwen valley makes it one of the most recognisable and popular mountains in Snowdonia. Scrambling is a must on this rocky beast and so even though there are relatively straightforward routes to the top it should only be attempted by someone who is happy to spend the majority of their time using their arms.
Based on what your fitness levels and ability I'll design a route which takes in some exciting scrambling before we finally reach the famous monoliths at the top; Adam and Eve.
The fun doesn't stop at the top of Tryfan though. We can then continue onward to Glyder Fach, home of the famous Cantilever rock, and then work our way around a fantastic circuit back to the car.
You will definitely be aching for days to come after you've completed this superb route.

This adventure involves a lot of scrambling. The scrambling will be slow and steady but you'll need a reasonable level of fitness and head for heights in order to make the most of the day. Previous scrambling experience is advised but not essential as routes will be designed around your abilities. There will be plenty of breaks for you to rest and refuel.
• Full waterproofs (jacket with a hood, and trousers)
• Walking boots that you've worn before
• Proper walking socks
• A backpack (around 20-25L)
• Hat and gloves
• A spare warm top (e.g. a fleece) in a plastic (waterproof) bag
• At least 1.5L of water
• A decent sized packed lunch
• Snacks (chocolate bars, sweets, nuts etc)
• A plastic bag for litter
• Walking boots that you've worn before
• Proper walking socks
• A backpack (around 20-25L)
• Hat and gloves
• A spare warm top (e.g. a fleece) in a plastic (waterproof) bag
• At least 1.5L of water
• A decent sized packed lunch
• Snacks (chocolate bars, sweets, nuts etc)
• A plastic bag for litter
