Hi All,

I am looking to purchase a camera. I started looking at Gopro since that is what Dave uses.

I read a lot of negative reviews such as:
difficult to use,
can't tell if it's on or off,
difficult to turn on or off,
gives "Unrecognized SD Card" message frequently - even when using an SD card from the recommended list,
doesn't hold a charge long,
takes a long while to charge,
no screen info,
over heats when charging or recording,

Have Gopro users had these problems?

Thank you,
F-N

Hi! I presume you're the same guy who messaged me on Facebook asking the same question, so I'll just copy my answer over, in case anyone else can find some use from it:

I don't know much about GoPro except for the Hero2, which is what I have. It's very old and battered but it has served me well. The Hero5 is now out, which is much better in every way, and includes a screen as well as a ton of other features. I really need to upgrade because I don't trust my camera any more, and the sound quality is awful. So all I can tell you is that once you get used to using a GoPro they're easy. It's just a case of practice! And the battery life on my Hero2 is about 2 hours. If you're smart about turning it off when you're not filming then you can make this last a long time. On my Canada trip I had 3 batteries and a powerport battery, so I was always okay for power.

Hope that helps :)
